Ole Miss salvaged a win over Missouri on Saturday. With just six conference games left to play the Rebels are dead last in the conference, but still within a game of State and Missouri. That means there’s still a chance Ole Miss could make it to the SEC Tournament, but the Rebs will have to play way better than they did on Thursday and Friday in Columbia and hope State and Mizzou lose.
Ole Miss knocks off Mizzou, 20-14
Calvin Harris broke the school record with four home runs and tied another school record with 10 RBI. Peyton Chatagnier added two more homers. Chatagnier seems to be finding his swing. Hopefully that continues the next two weekends. Ole Miss is 25-23 (6-18 SEC). The Rebs host Auburn next.
Top transfer WR Chris Marshall dismissed from team
It seemed like Marshall would be a key player, so this stinks. Jordan Watkins, Louisiana Tech transfer Tre Harris and Jalen Knox seem to be the main three now, but there’s also Dayton Wade and JJ Henry. Ole Miss has receivers, but Marshall was a five star talent for a reason and that talent will be missed. Lane Kiffin may dip into the transfer portal for another receiver before it’s said and done.
5 star edge rusher crystal balled to Ole Miss
Jamonta Waller has 21 Division I offers including Florida, LSU, Texas A&M, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Missouri, Mississippi State, South Carolina, and Ole Miss. He was rated a five star by 247 after finishing with 106 total tackles and 11-and-a-half sacks, to go along with a forced fumble, two recoveries, and a pick en route to Picayune’s second straight 5A State Championship.
